Blake Christensen, JD/MBA

Blake Christensen brings extensive experience as a General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and executive leader in higher education. He understands university problems are rarely one-dimensional—instead, they are a complex weave of law, policy, finance, and campus politics.

Blake has extensive, hands-on experience with executive teams solving difficult institutional problems and facilitating groups of leaders through high-stakes decision-making. His legal experience and MBA from the Yale School of Management inform his rigorous, yet practical approach to advising.

Aubrie Nield, MPA

Aubrie serves as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Advisor for Tyrsen Higher Education, where she directs organizational operations, advises clients on institutional risk and workplace issues, and assists with Title IX issues. Aubrie excels at implementing best practices that maximize efficiency, streamline processes, and boost overall productivity. She has a strong track record of leading projects and ensuring teams remain effectively informed and aligned. Prior to joining Tyrsen Higher Education, Aubrie served as director of legal operations and as a risk manager for a university legal office. Aubrie additionally has experience with compliance programs and serving as a Title IX hearing officer and advisor. 


Aubrie holds a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in state, local, and nonprofit administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Her academic and professional background includes extensive research and study in public policy analysis, program assessment, and public workplace issues.
